Peggy Gates is starting her 11th nonconsecutive year as a member of the Corry Area School Board.

She served as vice president of the board this past year, and Gates will now serve as president of the board for the next year.

Board members, during the annual reorganization meeting, unanimously elected Gates as president.

Roger Stranahan was elected vice president, also by unanimous vote.

Other board members are Mike Kondrlik, Doris Gernovich, Chris Johnson, Deborah Wood, Delbert Liller, Steve Redrup and John Gray.

Gates has served two full terms on the board and is in the middle of her third term. She was a board member from 1997 to 2001 and again from 2001 to 2005. After being off the board for two years, she was elected to another four-year term in 2007.
