Corry flower shop owner Dennis Baker is one step closer to replanting himself on Corry City Council.

Baker, owner of Bloomers Flower and Ashley Jo’s Antiques, won the Republican nomination for a two-year seat on the five-member board by defeating incumbent Councilman Jim Myers in Tuesday’s primary. The unofficial vote count was 228 to 168.
