The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will have representatives at meetings with two area townships to give the public an opportunity to hear about and ask questions concerning upcoming projects in those municipalities.

The first meeting will be held with Concord Township supervisors on July 6.

The meeting is set for 7 p.m. at the township building, 12677 Ormsbee Road.

The purpose of the meeting is to introduce a bridge-replacement project, and hear the public’s input regarding historic or archaeological sites in the area that could be affected by the project as required by the National Historic Preservation Act.

The bridge-replacement project is on state Route 2018, or Lovell Road, which runs over the South Branch of French Creek in Concord Township.

The township building is accessible to those with disabilities. Anyone with special needs or requiring assistance should contact Bob Bell, project manager, at (814) 678-7161.

PennDOT will also attend a Venango Township supervisors meeting on July 12 to discuss the Phillipsville Road bridge-replacement project.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the township building, 9141 Townhall Road.

The purpose is to inform the public and receive information about the project, which includes replacing the bridge over Alder Brook.

The township building is accessible to anyone with disabilities. Anyone with special needs or requiring assistance should contact Bell.
