NORTH EAST — The 28th Annual Wine Country Harvest Festival will be held today through Sunday in North East.

Hosted by the North East Area Chamber of Commerce, the festival attracts more than 20,000 visitors to the area to enjoy food, entertainment, arts, crafts and fruit of the vine.

The festival will be held at Gibson Park in downtown North East Friday from 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday from noon to 10 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. and in Gravel Pit Park, just over one mile west of town on Route 20.

Both parks will feature wine by the glass, crafts, food, and live entertainment.

Gibson Park activities, sponsored by Highmark, also include artisans in the park, pony rides, downtown merchant specials, and more.

Gravel Pit Park features horse-drawn wagon rides and a children’s area.
