BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP — A 29-year-old man who fell out of a tree stand Sunday in Bloomfield Township, Crawford County, is listed in fair condition today at Hamot Medical Center in Erie.

Damon “George” Peiper, of Shreve Ridge Road, formerly of Union City, was taken to Hamot by LifeStar helicopter at about 3:45 p.m. after he reportedly fell about 25 feet. Peiper reportedly suffered chest injuries.

He was expecting to be released from Hamot sometime today, a family friend said.

In addition to LifeStar helicopter, Bloomfield Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
