‘Dare To Be Great’

A group of soon-to-be seventh-grade students participate in a team-building exercise Thursday at Corry Middle-High School as part of the school’s fourth annual “Dare To Be Great” program. About 175 students participated in the voluntary program, the goal of which is to help make the transition from elementary to middle school easier while planting the seeds of 21st century workplace skills. The program ran from Aug. 17 through 19 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with sessions covering topics such as overcoming obstacles, team building, respecting others and thinking outside the box. Each student received a T-shirt as well as a folder of school supplies. Journal photo by Andy Kerstetter
