Stephanie Marie Ongley of Spartansburg was recently named to the fall 2009 dean’s list at Methodist University in Fayetteville, N.C.

To be named to the list, students must attain a 3.5 grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale. They must also earn at least 42 quality points during a semester with a total course load of 12 or more semester hours, with no grade of D, F or I (incomplete) and no developmental courses.

Ongley was one of 230 students named to the list.

Corry resident Kathy Grace Benton recently earned an associate of science degree in nursing from Excelsior College.

Excelsior College is an accredited, private, nonprofit institute that focuses on the needs of working adults. Its primary mission is to increase access to a college degree for adult learners by removing obstacles to their educational goals.
