Rehearsals for the 29th annual Community Christmas Music Festival will begin Sunday at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 650 Worth St., Corry.

The concert, which is presented by the Corry Area Ministerial Association, is scheduled for Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. at the church. Singers of all ages are invited to be part of this holiday event.

Additional rehearsals for the Festival Choir will be Nov. 22 and 29 at 2:30 p.m.; and Dec. 5 at 1 p.m.

Youth in grades nine through 12 are encouraged to sing with the adults in the Festival Choir, which will be under the direction of Rosemary Obert.

In addition to Sunday’s practice, members of the Young Corry Singers Choir will rehearse Nov. 22 and 29 at 2 p.m.; and Dec. 5 at 1 p.m.

The Young Corry Singers Choir will be under the direction of Milly Keeler and Obert.

During Sunday’s practice, all singers must be present to pick up their musical selections. Churches are encouraged to present a musical selection.

Christmas Memories will be the theme of the concert and will be presented in memory of the Rev. Philip Clemens, past director of the festival.

Highlights of the concert will be two commissioned works in Clemens memory by his son, James E. Clemens. “In Bethlehem Tonight,” will be performed by the Young Corry Singers and “Alleluia, Sing Noel,” will be performed by the Festival Choir, Young Corry Singers, Handbell Choir, instruments and congregation.
