Nordland chosen as Boy of the Month

Joshua Nordland

Corry Area High School senior Joshua Nordland has been chosen as September Boy of the Month by members of the Corry Rotary Club.

He carries a 3.73 grade point average and plans to attend Liberty University upon his graduation.

Nordland’s high school activities include National Honor Society, History Club, marching band, jazz band, concert band and pep band.

He has also participated in PMEA district and regional band, PMEA jazz band and the Erie Junior Philharmonic and Orchestra.

Nordland has been involved in several community projects including History Club’s “Our Journey,” and the Constitution Day dinner, NHS’ senior citizen luncheon, Taste of the Town, and caroling for a Very Merry Corry Christmas.

His hobbies include practicing and playing the bassoon, organ, saxophone and piano. Nordland also enjoys landscaping.

His goals in life are to become a successful doctor, marry the women of his dreams, build a dream house, raise a family, grow old and never lose sight of his love for music.
