The Community Blood Bank and Corry Memorial Hospital will host a community blood drive on Dec. 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.

No appointments are necessary, just walk in to the Bloodmobile.

To donate, participants must be at least 17 years old, or 16 years old with a signed Community Blood Bank parental permission form, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good general health.

Donors must not have given blood for at least 56 days and photo ID is required by every donor.

The entire process takes about 45 minutes.

Everyone who signs in to donate blood on a mobile blood drive in Erie County can also register to win a Amazon Kindle book reader, valued at $249.
