Peterson weds Engle

 

Laura Jo Peterson and Nicolas David Engle were united in marriage on May 30, 2009, on the beach in Corolla, North Carolina.

Pastor Gregory Farrand of Spring Garden Community Church officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Terence and Barbara Peterson of Corry.

She was presented in marriage by her father.

The groom is the son of Cathy Engle of Corry and Warren Engle of Columbus.

Lindsay Widenhouse was the maid of honor.

Ashley Peterson, sister of the bride, Sara Peterson and Ali Warren, cousins of the bride, Christina Hanzis, Amy Quirk, and Ashley Von Clausberg, friends of the bride, were bridesmaids.

Cassidy Engle, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.

Scott Engle, brother of the groom, served as best man. Cameron and Marcus Engle, brothers of the groom, Derek Peterson, brother of the bride, Blake Blunkall, brother-in-law of the groom, and Steve Edwards and Mikey Fissel, friends of the groom, were groomsmen.

Laura wore a dress of satin covered with eyelet lace. She wore an elbow-length veil with matching eyelet trim and carried a bouquet of white roses.

Her bridesmaids wore cornflower blue tea length gowns and carried gerbera daisies.

An outdoor reception at the Currituck Golf Club in Corolla was held following the ceremony.

They had a southern-style meal and a key lime wedding cake.

Friends and family sent Laura and Nicholas off on their honeymoon trip to Aruba under an arch of sparklers.

The couple will live and work in North Carolina.
