Two Corry High School graduates recently gave presentations at the 15th annual Richard J. Fasenmyer Engineering Design Conference held at Penn State Behrend.

Geoffrey Craker presented “Motion Characterization of New Vibratory Feeder,” a group research project. Craker recently graduated with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering. He also worked with Shannon Sweeney, associate professor of engineering at Penn State Behrend.

Mark Gates presented “3 Motor Drive,” also a group research project. Gates recently graduated with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering. He worked with Dr. Vibhuti Dave, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at Behrend.

The conference is hosted by the college’s School of Engineering, which requires a yearlong, capstone applied design experience for each of its degree programs. In total, 170 engineering students presented the results of their senior design projects to professors, fellow students and industry representatives.
