• Christmas in September for Erie Soldiers and Sailors and Erie VA Hospital is held at 10 a.m. at the VFW.

• Union City Municipal Authority meets at 5 p.m. at the authority office at 29 S. Main St.

• Union City Area School Board meets at 7 p.m. in the large-group instruction room at the elementary school.

• Sparta Township board of supervisors meets at 9 a.m. at the township building, 43262 State Highway 77, Spartansburg.

• Corry Area School District Board of Directors meets in the large-group instruction room at the administration building.

• Wayne Township supervisors meet at 7 p.m. at the municipal building, 17395 Sciota Road.

• Wattsburg Borough supervisors meet at 7 p.m. at the borough hall, 14431 Main St. The public is invited to attend.

Sept. 14

• Corry City Council meets for a work session at 7 p.m. in council chambers at the city building.

• Public line dance lessons begin at 10:30 a.m. at Harecreek Campground.

• Columbus Township supervisors meet at 7 p.m. at the municipal building on North Street.

• The Corry Tree Committee meets at 6 p.m. in council chambers at the city building.

• Borough of Spartansburg reorganization meeting is held 7 p.m. at the borough building.

• Corry Historical Society meets at 7 p.m. at the Corry Historical Museum. Speaker to be announced.

• A community dinner will be held at the Corry Salvation Army from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost is $1 per plate. There will be door prizes, a Chinese auction, a flea market and a clothing sale.

• Erie Plastics Retirees business lunch takes place at 1 p.m. at Family Ties restaurant in Townville.

Sept. 15

• Raymond U.A.W. Retirees meet for lunch at 1 p.m. at the American Legion, 1460 Sciota Road.

Sept. 16

• Christian skate night is held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Roller Rink east of Corry on Route 426. Entrance fee is $3. Participants may bring their own skates or rent a pair for $1. Call 664-4044 for more information.

• St. Elizabeth’s annual ham dinner takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sept. 20

• Corry City Council meets for a budget work session at 7 p.m. in council chambers at the city building. The regular meeting follows at 8 p.m.

• Clymer Area Historical Society annual meeting and election of officers takes place at 7:30 p.m. at the Haverkamp Huis.

• Corry Area Genealogy Club meets from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at the Corry Public Library. This meeting is open to the public.

• Corry Area School District Board of Directors meets in the large-group instruction room at the administration building.

Sept. 21

• Public line dance lessons begin at 10:30 a.m. at Harecreek Campground.

Sept. 26

• Concord Township Rural Schools reunion takes place at 1 p.m. at the Concord Community Building on Route 89.

• College Women club meets at 6 p.m. at the Corry Country Club. Jack Daneri, Erie County District Attorney, is the speaker.
