Erie County Maintenance Manager Jim Shaut recently announced the following schedule for the week of Aug. 3 for roadways maintained by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Erie County:

• Manual patching, Carter Hill Road, Wayne Township.

• Seal coating, Donation, Turnpike and Buffalo roads, Wayne Township.

All work is weather dependent. Fill dirt left over from PennDOT maintenance operations is available to property owners who request the material, have accessible property near work areas and submit a completed M-666 form.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and pay attention to signs and flaggers.
