The resort town of Findley Lake, N.Y. is gearing up for the 13th annual Harvest Festival over Labor Day Weekend, Friday, Sept. 3, through Sunday, Sept. 5.
The festival runs from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Each year the three-day event draws thousands of people from all around the tri-state area.
The 13th Annual Harvest Festival will feature live local musicians, arts and crafts stations, samples from local wineries, a farmers' market, lots of children's activities and all types of food.
Beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday September 3, Findley Lake's main street will be packed with all types of vendors and craft booths.
Highlights of the three-day event include the Third Annual Findley Lake Idol Contest with a $1,000 Grand Prize.
There's also an Idol Jr. Talent Show for those 15 or younger and a Pretty Baby Contest.
Labor Day Weekend wraps up Sunday night with Findley Lake's participation in "Light the Lakes."
In “Light the Lakes,” numerous towns in Chautauqua County coordinate their fireworks to create an event so spectacular that it can be seen by those aboard the International Space Station.
The Harvest Festival is sponsored by the Findley Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.
