Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to town

The jolly couple will make their way from the North Pole into Union City on Friday, Nov. 25. Their trip is being sponsored by the Union City Parks and Recreation Commission, with assistance from the Union City Volunteer Fire Department.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will ride through town on a firetruck with the winners of the coloring contest and arrive at St. Teresa Social Hall, 9 Third Ave., at 6:45 p.m.

The evening will begin with a free puppet show from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Betsy and Friends will perform a holiday puppet show titled “Christmas With Friends.”

Following the puppet show, a puppet factory will be available where children may make their own puppets for a minimal fee of $2 per puppet.

From 6:45 to 8 p.m., children may visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and tell them their Christmas wishes.

Families should bring their own cameras for photos with Santa.

Refreshments and entertainment will also be provided.

The coloring contest sheets are being distributed at Union City Elementary School.
