Members of the Concord Community Club met for a Christmas dinner and party during a December meeting at McCray Church.

Bonnie and Leanna Woodworth, and Doris Brown hosted a ham and scalloped potato dinner for 37 friends and neighbors.

Ladies that attended provided the salad, vegetables and desserts to complement the meal.

Doris Brown had a “Christmas Carol” trivia game for people to brainstorm.

Bonnie Woodworth had a “Christmas Story” game where three teams were given a bag of various Christmas and everyday items. The team had five minutes to make up and present a story about Christmas using the items.

A gift exchange was executed by Linda McCracken, who read the “Right Family” story. Everyone was instructed to move their gifts left and right as the story was read.

Jared Vaughn, Jared Labowski and Leanna Woodworth were Santa’s helpers and delivered the gifts.

The next meeting will be held Friday with Kay Wade and Cindy Gray on committee. A soup and sandwich dinner will be held. Members are being asked to bring a favorite soup, sandwich, salad or dessert.

Bill and Jeanne Vaughn are planning the program. They will give a PowerPoint presentation on a new health clinic that is opening in Corry.
