Burrows graduates from basic training, studying at Edinboro

Pvt. Rhendrek Burrows

Pvt. Rhendrek William Burrows, a 2011 graduate of Corry Area High School, recently completed basic training with the U.S. Army at Fort Benning, Ga., with specialty training as an infantry man in the heavy weapons division.

He graduated from advanced individual training, and also graduated with the first platoon in high honors — winning all categories and division training first place.

Burrows, a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard out of Cambridge Springs, is now attending Edinboro University and is a member of the ROTC program.

He is majoring in criminal justice.

He is the son of Mark and Lynette J. Herberg of Corry and Bill and Penny Burrows.

Burrows is the grandson of Lena and Dan Elliot, Dick and JoJo Herberg, Bruce

and Beth Swanson, Lois Burrows, Ellen Burrows

and Leonard and Audrey Migliaccio.

He has a brother, Dakota M. Burrows.

Other family members include, Ben and Tracie Braswell, Berry and Kelly Herberg, and Jay and Sue Herberg, all aunts and uncles.
