Village Friends

A Thanksgiving feast was held for members and volunteers of Village Friends Inc. at the Cobblestone Inn & Suites, 864 E. Columbus Ave., on Nov. 20. Member Doris Brown, left, spoke to all in attendance of the importance of sharing the holiday.

Over 40 members and volunteers of Village Friends gathered on Nov. 20 at the Cobblestone Inn & Suites in Corry for an Annual Thanksgiving gathering.

Village Friends organizes events like this to keep Corry area older adults connected to others in the community and reduce social isolation.

This Thanksgiving feast with friends was accompanied by a speech from member Doris Brown, who spoke about how important Thanksgiving is to older adults and to hold on to the meaning of the holiday celebration of gathering and friendship.

The feast was followed by activities and games.
