An Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration begins at noon Thursday in the Corry City Park gazebo as part of the Thursday in the Park summer concert series. Bill Beggs and The Dixie Doodlers, above, will perform at 1 p.m.,
Kokomo Time Band, below, performs at 3 p.m. and Happy Days, at bottom, performs at 6 p.m. Audience members are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket. This event is presented annually by the Corry Area Arts Council. In he event of inclement weather, an alternate location will be announced via the council's Facebook page or on its website, CorryAreaArtsCouncil.com. Music in the park will wrap up around 8 p.m. As a conclusion to this event, a fireworks display will be set off from the Corry American Legion with the lights being visible from the soccer fields, industrial park and parts of Route 6 and Center Street. Gibson Fireworks is in charge of the display.
