Gilkinson weds Gates

Toni & Brian Gates

Toni Renee Gilkinson of Russell and Brian Patrick Gates of Corry united in marriage during an 11:30 a.m. ceremony June 6, 2009, at Logan Lake, located on the Gates farm on Lindsey Hollow in Corry.

Pastor Dave Brooks of Union City officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Victoria Gilkinson of Russell. Her father gave her away.

The groom is the son of Vicki Gates, and Tom and Virginia Gates, all of Corry.

The bride wore a strapless dress with purple beading.

She carried a bouquet of lavender roses, baby's breath, purple statice and tree fern that was accented with white sheer ribbon and streamers.

Heather Emahizer and Niki Neall, friends of the bride, were the maids of honor.

They wore eggplant colored dresses, and carried a single lavender rose with baby's breath and purple statice trimmed with a yellow sheer chiffon ribbon.

Bridesmaid was Robin Spicer, friend of the bride and groom. She wore a dress and carried flowers identical to the maids of honor.

Mackenzie and Miranda Gates, children of the bride and groom, were the flower girls.

Ring Bearer was Tyler Gates, nephew of the groom.

Jim Gates, brother of the groom, was the best man.

Groomsmen were Kevin Jaggi and Carl Morton, friends of the groom.

A reception for 250 guests was held at the Spartansburg Fire Hall.

The couple spent their honeymoon at the Erie Zoo with their children.

They currently reside in Corry.

The new Mrs. Gates is a 2004 graduate of Eisenhower High School and is employed at Save-A-Lot in Corry.

Her husband is a 2000 graduate of Corry Area High School and is employed at Lowe’s in Warren and at his uncle’s dairy farm.
