Mayor Dave Mitchell and his wife Nancy wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving. They will have two of their granddaughters home for the holiday. The girls, Emily and Elizabeth VanderWeele, are from San Antonio, Texas and go to college near here. Emily is a sophomore and varsity swimmer at Grove City College and Elizabeth is taking nursing at Mercyhurst North East. They are the daughters of Dr. Richard and Kelly (Mitchell) VanderWeele and granddaughters of Dr. Alan VanderWeele who now also lives in San Antonio. Nancy Mitchell is recovering from two replacements and will soon be joining with the Blue Zones walking groups.
