Volleyball has long been a success story at Corry Area High School. Before I returned from college, The Corry Journal ran a photo of the 1972 Erie County League champion Lady Beavers, coached by Pat Stack. The team included Karen Consolo, Sue Hicks, captain Adele Hammerlee, Mary Lee Brant, Malea Emmons, Helen Harrison, Melissa and Criss Cole, Jessica Nichols, Jeanne Bracken, Marsha McCaslin, Eva McCray and Mary Lou Daley. The photo was taken by Dan McEldowney. He was the sports editor before me (May, 1973).
