Congrats to Amy Mitchell McInnis on her change of command as she is now the captain of the USS Zumwalt. She is the daughter of Marie and Dave Mitchell. Denise (Mitchell) and Jeff Munn attended along with Baylee Smith, plus her cousins Valerie and Kegan Lassiter from Oklahoma. While in San Diego, Denise, Jeff and Baylee took in the Pittsburgh Steelers football game and went to the San Diego Zoo.

Pat Miser would like to thank everyone for their prayers, cards, flowers and food while she is recuperating.

Nice to see that John Patterson is now back at home.

Corry Connections is introducing "Paint Together Day" on Saturday, Dec. 4, with two classes, one from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and the other from noon to 2 p.m. It can be a “Daddy and Me" or “Grandma and Me" or something else. Each participant will paint a canvas that can be joined together as one picture. All materials are included.

Call 814-462-4533 or stop at Corry Connections to sign up.

I understand that Steve Frisina has a new part-time job. He's a bagger at Sander's.

New life Restoration Center has to cancel the craft show for Dec. 4 and 5 because there hasn't been enough vendors interested.

Joy Linkerhof tells me that her mom, Barb Peterson, is now enjoying retirement. "It took her a few weeks to adjust," she notes.

Happy 35th anniversary to Pam and Bob Brown and best wishes to their son Marty.

Kudos to Lisa Troup who has now gone one full year without smoking.

Nice to see they had a surprise retirement party for Carol Wascak Huffman after all her years at the Barber Center.

Happy birthday today to Sparky Ross and Deanna Hogan, tomorrow to Judy Goodwill and Scott Neckers and on Monday to Lila Lilley, Tim Linkerhof, Kaity McCray and Shane McIntyre.

Get-well wishes to Maggi Foreman.

Nice to see Athletic Director Mike Daniels at Hayden Linkerhof's collegiate signing on Wednesday. Both his former coach Mark Munsee and current coach Travis Proper noted how proud they were acknowledging the hard work and extra effort the Beaver wrestler has put into this accomplishment.

Finally, good luck to all you hunters, but be safe.
