Florence Dahl is a resident at Corry Manor and she celebrated her 97th birthday on Nov. 30. Her sons, Brad Dahl, living in Hoover, Ala., and Steve Dahl, living in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, were unable to travel to Pa. for the birthday celebration. But her daughter, Brenda Flores of Pittsburgh was able to be with her. Brenda was able to make computer connections so that the four of them had an enjoyable time of conversation and family togetherness. The staff at Corry Manor made her birthday a festive time with greetings, balloons, and, for a special treat, ice cream.

I could hardly believe how fast people were driving in the snowstorm on Wednesday — and some who did not use their headlights.
